Overcome fear and the world is your oyster. Can you imagine that? How would your life change if you lived fearlessly?

Overcome Fear

If you’ve “passed” on opportunities that would expand your life’s possibilities because of fear then you know that fear prevents you from taking risks, living the life of your dreams, or completely embracing the process of success – with anything that you want to do!

Your fear can literally control your life! Those who stay in that state long enough see the quality of their lives’ disintegrate into a life of wishful thinking, regret – and unfortunately, painful loss. You don’t have to live that way…

Although fear is a natural emotional response to a perceived threat and does serve to alert us of instances and situations that may be rationally harmful – many or most fears that hold us back from living full out are irrational and come from a place where faulty thinking has developed.

One method of changing faulty thinking patterns is to replace them with those that are empowering. You want to impress upon the subconscious mind positive statements, said repeatedly and aloud. The subconscious mind will affect the conscious mind to eventually act on these positive statements as if they are true… and they are.

Try on these affirmations to overcome fear:

1. Fear is only a feeling; it cannot hold me back.

2. I know that I can master anything if I do it enough times.

3. Today I am willing to fail in order to succeed.I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true.

4. I’m going to relax and have fun with this, no matter what the outcome may be.

5. I’m proud of myself for even daring to try; many people won’t even do that!

6. Today I put my full trust in my inner guidance…. fear – lessly.

7. I grow in strength with every forward step I take.

8. I release my hesitation and make room for victory!

9. With a solid plan and a belief in myself, there’s nothing I can’t do.

10. I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true.

Your efforts to overcome fear must be intentional.

Repeat these affirmations several times throughout the day. Some enjoy saying them while looking at themselves in a mirror – try that as well. They must be said with conviction, purposefully, and with a belief that your affirmations have the power to change your life!

So there you are,  try on these affirmations to overcome your fear – to start. Ideally, make it personal, and create meaningful affirmations of your own.

Hi Dena,
great affirmations!
The 3. one makes a lot of sense, when we fail we learn and then we can succeed.
Wouldn’t it be nice if parents were aware of that principle and go easy on their children when they make mistakes.
One of the books I enjoyed is “Feel the fear and do it anyway” by Susan Jeffers.

Thank you so much for sharing this.

I love the fact that the affirmations do not have to be so complicated. Fear has driven a lot of the decisions I have made in the past. It took a long time for me to realize that and I am taking steps to make sure that it never happens to me anymore. It’s hard but I can do it.

Dena-Lynn, As one who has struggles with fear, I truly appreciate this post! I like 1. about fear being only a feeling and 6. about putting my full trust in my inner guidance. I pray daily for God’s guidance and trust that He will lead me. Fear is often in our mind and how we feel and think. Because of something that happened to me in the past, it took me a while to overcome and realize my mind/thoughts were interfering with my progress. I like what Joyce Meyers (a favorite Bible teacher) says…Feel the fear and do it anyway! I have been there too and happy to say, I have overcome!
Great post!
